Patient information
Speech therapy is part of basic medical care and can be billed to all statutory and private health insurance providers.
To receive these therapy services, you need a prescription (“prescription for speech therapy”) from your doctor:
Pediatricians
General practitioners
ENT doctors/phoniatrists
Neurologists
Dentists/Orthodontists
You tell us your treatment request by phone or email. So that we can give each patient our full attention, an answering machine is switched on during our ongoing treatments and during home or house visits. Please be sure to leave your name and telephone number here - we will call you back as soon as possible to record your request. Since we only give fixed appointments without free consultation hours, you usually cannot get an appointment straight away. We will contact you by phone as soon as possible and can put you on our waiting list.
Due to the current shortage of speech therapists, there are unfortunately waiting times.
After careful diagnosis, the treating speech therapist will discuss the further course of treatment and the treatment goals with you. The therapy sessions usually take place in our practice rooms and last 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on the prescription.
For patients with mobility difficulties, we also carry out home visits, which must be prescribed by the treating doctor's office.
Since we are an appointment-only practice, appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the agreed time if you are unable to keep the appointment. You can always reach us via answering machine.
Important: It is not possible to cancel via email!
For patients with a German statutory insurance, the treatment is paid for by your health insurance company. From the age of 18, there is a statutory co-payment obligation - all adult patients must pay 10% of the costs plus €10 per prescription themselves. Depending on your income, it may be possible to be exempted from the co-payment by the responsible health insurance company - please ask your health insurance company.
